Don Quixote - Singapore Dance Theatre

As a grand finale to the 2014 season, SDT will present the company premiere of Don Quixote, a full length classical ballet based on the masterpiece of a story by Miguel de Cervantes. This tale of romance and chivalry follows the heroic adventures of the aged yet inspired knight, Don Quixote, and his devoted squire Sancho Panza.

Their paths meet with two lovers – the spirited Kitri and the charming Basilio, who are on a quest to marry.

With staging by the legendary Cynthia Harvey, gorgeous costumes designed by Australian designer Bruce McKinven and soaring music by Ludwig Minkus, Don Quixote is set to be an explosive, colourful spectacle of glorious dancing.

Scenic Studios were commissioned to paint all of the soft scenery in this production - allowing them to be folded up and put into a suitcase for travel.
